‘DOUGH’n’t miss out on this State Fair cookie deal! The Iowa State Fair’s Barksdale’s State Fair Cookie Dough is on sale for a limited time, available in bags of pre-portioned, ready-to-bake cookies. It also makes a great gift for friends, family, teachers or other special people this holiday season. Order one, two or ten bags today to curb your cookie craving until the 2024 Iowa State Fair, August 8-18.
Each bag includes 36 pre-portioned frozen cookies for $12. Cookies are the same size as found in buckets and cups during the Fair. Orders can be placed at www.iowastatefair.org until this limited time offer ends at midnight on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
Please note: Cookie dough is produced on equipment that also processes products containing peanuts and tree nuts.
Pre-ordered cookie dough will be available for drive-thru pick up on Friday, December 1 between 3-7 p.m. or Saturday, December 2 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Enter through the University Avenue gate and follow the signs to pick up. No walk-up orders will be available. Cookie dough orders not picked up during designated times are non-refundable.

The Iowa State Fair is the single largest event in the state of Iowa and one of the oldest and largest agricultural and industrial expositions in the country. In 2019, the Joe Barksdale family gifted his famous warm chocolate chip cookie business to the people of Iowa through the Iowa State Fair. In 2020, the new Barksdale’s State Fair Cookie Building was built to continue Joe’s legacy. Today, the building bakes thousands of chocolate chip cookies for special events and the 11-day Iowa State Fair, August 8-18, 2024.
